Aura: How to See Colors, Understand Vibrations & Cleanse

An aura is a ray of light that emanates from a person’s body. It is an electromagnetic energy that many people can see. There are different colours of auras, each with its unique meaning. Some people can see them in colour, while others may just perceive a bright light. An aura can offer a glimpse into a person’s personality and provide insight into their mind and soul.

How to Read and See the Aura

It is pretty easy to see your aura. Dim the lights, perhaps light a few candles, play some soft music, and place your hand on a black surface. Concentrate and focus. Look around your hand. You should begin to see a ray of light forming around it. In time, you may start to see colours. Once you can see your aura, begin observing others. It may take a while before you can do this without having to “zone out” a bit, but don’t worry, it will come with practice.

For more information on auras and their meanings, read: What Colour Is Your Aura? by Barbara Bowers, Ph.D. It is an excellent book that explores the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of the human aura.

BLUE:
Blues possess the characteristics of nurturing and caring individuals. They are the colour most concerned with helping others. Acts of kindness make them feel fulfilled, valued, and give them a sense of worth. Giving plays a vital role in their lives. Blue reflects feminine energy and the ability to connect with one’s feelings. Men rarely have Blue auras.

Blues often neglect their own spiritual and emotional growth. They struggle to say no and mean it. Their greatest gift is highly developed intuition. They are extremely sensitive to the emotional vibrations of others and are characterized by emotional, altruistic, considerate, reliable, trustworthy, and imaginative qualities. They enjoy giving gifts, are deeply touched by sunsets, and cry when they’re angry. Blues are team leaders, good listeners, eager to help, spiritual, assertive, and prone to headaches under stress.

Compatibility With Other Colours:
Blues are introspective and intuitive, whereas Reds and Oranges are more physical and spontaneous. Blues prefer quiet time by a fire, while Reds or Oranges prefer active pursuits like hiking. Greens can grow impatient with a Blue’s indecisiveness. Blues and Violets form a dynamic duo due to shared aspirations. Blues and Yellows benefit from early stability and can complement each other well.

RED:
Physical and sexual expression define a Red. Their success lies in acting on knowledge of the physical world. Reds interpret the world literally, are not abstract thinkers, and engage head-on with life. Their reality is tangible: if they can see, hear, touch, taste, or smell it, it is real.

Reds are grounded, unafraid of hard work, patient, action-oriented, and dislike stillness. They don’t hold grudges or worry about money. Their strength lies in managing daily life with confidence.

Compatibility With Other Colours:
Reds, Oranges, and Magentas are all fiercely independent, so their relationships can be rocky. Reds and Yellows are a good match: they live in the moment, have great chemistry, and complement each other well. Greens also make good partners for Reds, with their imaginative minds attracting the practical Red. However, Reds and Blues are a difficult match, as Blues are emotionally intense and Reds are emotionally unavailable.

YELLOW:
Yellows are energetic, often addicted to caffeine or smoking. They need physical activity, an active sex life, and are susceptible to injuries. Yellows are the most childlike in the aura spectrum: creative, cheerful, affectionate, loyal, and full of fun.

They are also open, naive, and spontaneous. Yellows crave family, security, and a sense of belonging. They need love and a stable foundation to thrive.

GREEN:
Greens are intellectual, productive, and analytical. They excel at organizing, strategizing, and planning. They dislike hard physical labor but are rational, witty, and quick-thinking. Greens constantly rearrange mental information and approach life like a puzzle.

When stressed, they can become compulsive, controlling, or rigid. Greens may threaten extreme actions when feeling emotionally overwhelmed. They are not natural nurturers, dislike emotional demands, and tend to be introverted. Many are perfectionists and workaholics.

ORANGE:
Oranges are uplifting, absorbing, and inspiring. They exude power and often desire control over others. A strong Orange aura often leads to the development of a Yellow halo, eventually shifting toward a Gold aura, symbolizing spiritual evolution.

VIOLET:
Violets often feel guilt and rely on others for support. They are focused, possessive, frugal, intelligent, and highly inquisitive. Violets are theorists, with deep emotions. Their apparent coldness is a protective shield for their vulnerability.

They project confidence but often harbor self-doubt. Sensitive and intuitive, they value emotional intimacy. Violets are capable leaders, driven, and passionate. Though sometimes demanding or selfish, their leadership skills shine through.

BLACK:
Black in an aura is a negative sign. It can represent malice, hatred, pessimism, or ill health. It is the absence of positive energy in the mental, physical, or emotional body. It may also indicate energetic blockages or spiritual distress.

WHITE:
Brilliant white with a blue crystalline hue, like fresh snow, represents the essence of life and high spiritual awareness. As one becomes enlightened, they may begin to see colours like sky-blue, gold, and then crystal-white, in that sequence.

SILVER:
Silver signals intuitive and creative awakening. It often accompanies talents in music, writing, or other artistic pursuits. A strong silver aura may indicate spiritual channeling and an open connection to higher guidance.

By understanding the colors of the aura and their meanings, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and those around us, gaining insight into our emotional, physical, and spiritual lives.

Cleansing your aura helps remove negative energies, restores balance, and promotes emotional clarity. Self-care techniques, such as walking in nature, meditation, smudging with sage, and salt baths, gently uplift your energy field.
