The equinox of autumn does now fall,
as harvesting comes to one and all,
power of demeter, the ancient goddess,
I thank thee for the bounty in which you bless.

As the mother now starts to grieve,
my intuition grows, I now percieve,
as the earth prepares to slumber,
the air grows cold, we've farewelled summer.

Instinctually wise, the goddess lends her powers to me,
prepare thy feast, so mote it be,
that the balance of dark and light in life,
is created here tonight.
Let it be done that it harm no-one.
